Sub: Live Telecast of the Address of the Hon’ble Governor & Chancellor on the occasion of “Commemorating August, 1946 Calcutta Massacre” – reg.
I have been directed to inform that, in pursuance of the Circular No. 731-S dated 17.08.2026 issued by the Governor’s Secretariat, West Bengal, Lok Bhavan, Kolkata, this University is going to arrange live telecasting of the address of the Hon’ble Governor & Chancellor on the occasion of “Commemorating August, 1946 Calcutta Massacre” through the official YouTube Channel of the University of Calcutta. The link is given below.
The programme will be organized as per the following schedule:
Date: 18 August, 2026
Time: 4:00 P.M.
Venue: Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, UBKV

All Teachers, Officers, Students and Non-Teaching Staff of the University are requested to attend the programme at the above-mentioned venue to view the programme accordingly.
The programme would be documented through photographs for submission of the requisite report to the Governor’s Secretariat, West Bengal, Lok Bhavan, Kolkata.
All concerned are requested to make it convenient to attend the programme punctually.
